Print | PDFDonors who support Wilfrid Laurier University make more than a donation – they become part of the university’s story. Some of these giving stories are highlighted in Laurier’s recently released 2024-25 Donor Impact Report.
“We truly rely on our generous and dedicated donors to ensure Laurier students have opportunities to learn, explore, create and build meaningful careers,” says Jason Coolman, vice-president, Advancement and External Relations. “It’s inspiring to read stories about how our donors are making a difference now and into the future.”
Laurier donors support awards, emergency funding, wellness services, capital campaigns and more. In 2024-25, 3,372 Laurier donors gave more than $17.6 million, including more than $3.1 million in awards granted to 1,362 students.
Stories highlighted in the 2024-25 Donor Impact Report include a gift from Peter Ansley (BA ’66) to name Ansley Alumni Field; the Joyce Family Foundation’s gift of entrance awards to Laurier Milton students; the second annual Golden Hawks Giving Challenge; and a partnership with Wealthsimple Foundation that is giving Laurier students a financial edge.
